Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Rose Valley – Dades Valley

Your 4-day Marrakech to Fes desert Tour begins with morning pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Pick Morocco Trip will take you across the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, one of the most scenic mountain roads in Morocco.

Along the way, you will enjoy views of Berber villages, valleys, and mountain landscapes before reaching Ait Ben Haddou. This historic ksar is one of the most famous stops on the old caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara.

After visiting Ait Ben Haddou and taking time for lunch, the Tour continues toward Ouarzazate, then through Skoura Oasis and the Rose Valley before reaching Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight stay will be in a hotel or riad in the valley.

Driving time: Around 6 to 7 hours with stops
Accommodation: Hotel or riad in Dades Valley
Meals: Dinner

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Rissani – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, the second day of your desert Tour continues toward Todra Gorges. You will pass through beautiful landscapes, Berber villages, and palm areas before arriving at the gorge, where you can enjoy a short walk between the high canyon walls.

The Tour then continues through Tinjdad and Erfoud toward Rissani, a traditional Saharan town with historical links to desert trade routes. After lunch on the road, you continue to Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes.

In the afternoon, you will ride camels across the dunes and enjoy the sunset over the Sahara Desert. You will arrive at your desert camp for dinner, Berber music, and overnight in a nomadic-style tent.

Driving time: Around 6 to 7 hours with stops
Camel ride: Around 1 hour
Accommodation: Desert camp in Merzouga
Meals: Breakfast and dinner

Day 3: Merzouga Desert Culture – Nomad Visit – Khamlia – Rissani – Merzouga

Wake up early to enjoy sunrise over the dunes, then return from the camp by camel or 4x4 depending on the camp arrangement. After breakfast and time to freshen up, your Merzouga discovery Tour begins.

You will explore the desert region around Merzouga by 4x4. The program may include a visit to Khamlia village, known for Gnawa music traditions, a visit to nomadic families in the desert area, panoramic views of the dunes, and stops around the oasis landscapes of Merzouga.

Later, the Tour continues to Rissani, where you can explore the traditional market if it is open during your visit. Rissani has long been connected with Saharan trade and local desert life. After the visit, you return to your hotel or kasbah near the dunes for dinner and overnight stay.

Driving time: Around 3 to 4 hours depending on stops
Accommodation: Hotel or kasbah near Merzouga

The climb requires steady effort, especially because of the altitude and rocky mountain terrain. Once you reach the summit, you will have time to enjoy the views over the High Atlas Mountains. On clear days, the scenery can stretch toward the Haouz plains and the southern landscapes of Morocco.

After enjoying the summit, you will descend back to the Toubkal Refuge for a short rest before continuing down toward Imlil. The route may pass near Sidi Chamharouch, a well-known stop on the traditional Toubkal trail. Once you arrive in Imlil, your driver will take you back to Marrakech.

Your 3-day Mount Toubkal Trip with Pick Morocco Trip ends with drop-off at your hotel or riad in Marrakech in the early evening.
